Once Upon a Bean Giftset

Once upon a time, hanging from the branches of a dreamy cocoa tree, grew a cluster of colorful cocoa pods. Each one sheltered cocoa beans with personalities of their own: mischievous, diligent, adventurous… yet all shared the same extraordinary destiny.

One day, one of them was picked and set off on a wonderful journey. Just awakened from its pod, it joined a cheerful group of beans on their way to a great transformation. Fermentation, drying, roasting… each step became an adventure, each encounter a new chapter in the story.

Guided by Dolfin’s expertise, the little beans gradually transformed: first into fragrant nibs, then into a smooth chocolate mass, until they finally became delicious chocolate squares ready to be savored.

To tell this odyssey, Dolfin teamed up with Elium, a Franco-Belgian artist and designer, who brought each stage of the journey to life with character and movement. Thus was born “Once Upon a Bean”: a limited-edition gift box of 32 chocolate squares, designed as a comic strip where cocoa pods, beans and chocolate bars come alive before your eyes.

This gourmet journey unfolds through four emblematic flavours: the golden sweetness of milk chocolate with salted butter caramel, the playful crunch of milk chocolate with nougatine, the comforting indulgence of dark chocolate with shortbread biscuit, and the refined intensity of 70% dark chocolate with Guérande sea salt.

Infused with surrealism, Elium is an artist and designer who tells stories and creates worlds where craftsmanship engages in dialogue with imagination. Her work comes to life through films, window displays, and collaborations with luxury houses, as well as through packaging and illustrations—always driven by humor, poetry, and storytelling.
