In 2007, Jean-Jacques de Gruben<\/strong>, unconditional lover of Belgian chocolate, took up the reins of the Dolfin Chocolaterie. Commitment to greater sustainability<\/span><\/h3>\n

From its very beginnings Dolfin Chocolaterie has evolved and wishes to take part in environmental and societal issues concerning the future<\/strong>. As a trailblazer in this field, it undertakes to produce more sustainable<\/strong> and ethical<\/strong> chocolates and in 2008 became the first Belgian chocolaterie to be certified carbon neutral. In 2021, it developed its own sustainability programme: <\/strong>Cocoa Act 4<\/strong><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Taking action for the future of the planet<\/span><\/h3>\n

All good things come from Nature<\/strong>. To preserve it, we want to take action for the future of our planet<\/strong>. From the cocoa tree plantation to the packaging of our chocolates, we ensure that every stage of our production process is ethical and sustainable<\/strong>. <\/strong>We practise sustainable agriculture<\/strong>, we ensure that our cocoa producers receive training<\/strong>, we say \u201cstop\u201d deforestation<\/strong>, we focus on reforestation<\/strong> and we reduce the use of plastic <\/strong>in our packaging. <\/span><\/p>\n

A project which we developed that illustrates our efforts is the Cocoa Act 4<\/strong> programme which guides our actions through 4 key cornerstones<\/strong>: Respect for People, the Planet, Quality and Transparency. <\/span><\/p>\n
